The INODIS system has been developed through national and European projects from 2013 to 2024, and its effective earthquake protection has been demonstrated by extensive quasi-static cyclic and dynamic (shaking table) experimental tests on all typical wall configurations, both with and without openings (e.g., doors and windows).

The principle of the product is based on sliding and deformation, allowing it to absorb interstory drifts higher than 2%. This means that seismic design of the building is simple and straightforward, as the infill is elastically decoupled from the structure and therefore considered non-interacting. Both in-plane and out-of-plane failures are prevented, significantly increasing the safety of the building in the event of an earthquake.
